The Male Protagonist K*dnapped the Wrong Person - 21
Chapter 21 - "Don't be late"
Qin Zheng cooked rice for Sang Ruo, then put the key on the
table. He looked at the little girl who was working hard to eat and said, "I have
to go to the store. If you want to go out, remember to take the key with
you."
Sang Rou put the fat he used to flavor on a paper towel and
nodded in agreement.
Qin Zheng looked at her with his hands on his hips, feeling
that it was too lonely to leave her at home alone, and he didn't buy her a
mobile phone. What if there was an emergency?
However, the little girl waved her hands
to urge him to leave. Qin Zheng was not good at cooking, so she waited for him
to leave and threw away the rice.
The man felt reluctant to give up, so he came back and
touched her head: "If you want to find me, go to the internet cafe
downstairs. I’ll come back at noon to cook for you."
He now has the mentality of a father raising his daughter,
and becomes anxious when he can't see her for a long time.
Sang Ruo nodded, very puzzled: "Don't be late."
Qin Zheng's forehead twitched, there was news from Chen Da
on his mobile phone.
Before leaving, he also reminded her: "Don't run
around, be careful."
As soon as the door closed, Sang Rou couldn't wait to pour
the fried rice into the trash can.
She bit her chopsticks, thinking this man was strange——
He was clearly very cold to her before, but now he’s
nagging.
Little did she know that Qin Zheng was working very hard to
support his wife, for fear that she would run away without paying attention.
The man was sitting at the front desk of his internet cafe.
He thought the little girl would come downstairs to look for him out of
boredom, but he didn't see her all morning.
Finally at noon, he opened the door and saw her staring at
the TV in a daze.
There was a love drama playing on it. The heroine was
crying too hard, but Sang Ruo didn't react at all, her eyes focused.
He forgot that the most common thing she did alone was to
be in a daze, and she actually didn't need anyone.
Qin Zheng walked to sit next to her and felt that he was
inconsiderate: "Are you bored?"
She turned her eyes to look at him and hummed in her
throat.
Neither affirmative nor negative, Qin Zheng had no choice
but to continue asking: "Do you want to go to school?"
This time she quickly shook her head: "No."
Qin Zheng came out to work after high school, but he
understood the importance of studying in society. The little girl is only
sixteen this year, and she is at the age where she should go to high school.
Seeing his hesitation, Sang Ruo explained for the first
time: "We had teachers at the sanatorium."
Seeing Qin Zheng in disbelief, she continued: "There
are teachers for all subjects. I have already finished the high school
curriculum."
It’s legally called a sanatorium, but it's actually a
place where wealthy families leave their unwanted children. With the exception
of Sang Ruo, the rest are children with disabilities who are not
valued by their families or illegitimate daughters like Zhou Manlin, who was
hidden by her father.
The astronomical fees allow these children not only to live
comfortably, but also to get education. No one knows whether they will be
remembered by their family again.
She spoke only in fragments, and Qin Zheng listened
carefully. He understood that this girl did not need to go to school, and she
probably had no interest in studying.
He rubbed his his palms together, pondered for a while, and
asked, "Would you like to go downstairs with me to check out the
store?"
Sang Rou nodded, a little excited. She hadn't been to an
internet cafe before.
Qin Zheng's heart moved slightly when he saw that she was
very happy. He felt that it would be better for them to develop a relationship
by spending a lot of time together.
After all, this girl was clueless that he was attracted to
her.
Qin Zheng remembered: "I'll take you to buy a mobile
phone this afternoon."
Sang Ruo said "Hmm".
