Chapter 23 - A very light kiss.

After dinner, Shen An took Bai Li to the private cinema.

 

The light was very dim. Bai Li was a little afraid of the dark and never dared to go in. When Shen An grabbed her wrist and went in, her body was shaking.

 

After sitting on the sofa, Shen An handed her a pillow and a bucket of popcorn, and then sat next to her, with less than thirty centimeters between them.

 

It's a romance movie.

 

Bai Li felt tired. She didn't sleep well last night. She was aware that a man she was unfamiliar with was sitting next to her, but her consciousness fell into a deep sleep uncontrollably.

 

When the movie progressed and the male and female protagonists were kissing, Shen An turned sideways and wanted to hold her hand, but found that the little girl had fallen asleep leaning on the sofa.

 

He couldn't help but laugh.

 

He helped her take off her sunglasses, mask and hat, and took out the pillow from her arms. He got closer to her, his fingers slightly touching her head, letting her lean into his arms.

 

Bai Li slept for less than two hours, and the movie was more than halfway through. She seemed to notice something and opened her eyes drowsily.

 

This time, she saw a close up of Shen An's Adam’s apple.

 

She blinked, thinking she was dreaming. Looking up from his Adam's apple, she saw a face with sharp edges. The curvature of the man's jaw was as hard and sharp as a blade. His eyebrows were dark, and he looked straight ahead. He seemed to be open-minded and magnanimous. 

 

The next second, he looked down at her very suddenly.

 

Bai Li was stunned.

 

Shen An pulled his lips and smiled, "Are you awake?"

 

Bai Li didn't react, her clear pupils full of confusion.

 

"Are you asleep?" He chuckled, breathing closer, and his thin lips almost pressed against hers.

 

Bai Li was startled and pushed him away in a panic and sat up.

 

Not a dream.

 

"Yes, I'm sorry." She lowered her head, grabbed the pillow on the sofa and held it in her arms. She put on the hat with her other hand and shrank up.

 

"What are you sorry for?" Shen An put his long arms on the sofa behind her.

 

She stopped leaning back and sat forward slightly, "...I accidentally fell asleep."

 

"Anything else?"

 

Bai Li was speechless for a long time and asked in a panic, "I... don't know, did I do anything else?"

 

"Well, you did kiss me." Shen An said casually.

 

Bai Li: "..."

 

Her face suddenly turned red, and she opened her mouth for a long time before she said, "No, it's impossible."

 

Shen An chuckled, "Why is it impossible?"

 

Bai Li stopped talking. Her ears and cheeks were extremely hot.

 

Shen An stopped teasing her. When the two of them came out after watching the movie, it was already dark.

 

Dai Mei sent a message to Bai Li, asking her where she was and why she didn't open the door. Bai Li was so nervous that she didn't know how to reply to the message. Seeing that Shen An was about to get on the bike, she said, "I... I'm going back."

 

"We’ll go back after watching the moon." Shen An patted the back seat and said, "Come up."

 

Bai Li blushed, lowered her head, put on her helmet obediently, and sat carefully on his bike.

 

"Why didn’t you go home for the reunion dinner?" When they arrived, Shen An took off his helmet and asked her.

 

Bai Li didn't speak.

 

Shen An put his helmet away, glanced at the moon above his head, and said to her, "I used to spend this holiday with my grandfather. After he passed away, I spent it alone."

 

He asked, "What about you? Have you lived alone?"

 

Bai Li thought of Dai Mei and shook her head slightly, "I have a friend with me."

 

Shen An asked, "The one with short hair from the last time?"

 

Bai Li nodded.

 

Shen An has something in his mind, "Let's go in."

 

There were many people at the door, and Bai Li lowered her head unconsciously.

 

When taking the elevator up, because he came in first, many people came in front of him, and he was worried about crushing Bai Li. Shen An faced her, his left hand resting on the metal door above her head, and he looked down at her.

 

Wearing sunglasses and a mask, she lowered her head and curled her fingers nervously.

 

He took her hand with his right hand.

 

Bai Li twitched, but seeing that he didn't let go, she looked up at him uneasily and nervously.

 

Shen An's body was half pressed, and he was closer to her. Bai Li lowered her head in panic, and put her hands on his chest. His skin was hot and she can feel his heartbeat.

 

Bai Li’s fingers trembled.

 

The elevator arrived, and a group of people got down. Shen An retracted his hand, led her out, and asked her in a low voice, "Do you like it?"

 

"Ah?" Bai Li didn't understand.

 

Shen An chuckled, but didn't say anything and moved forward.

 

After walking a few steps, Bai Li realized what he was asking. There was a "bang" on her head, her blood flowed backwards, and her whole body felt hot.

 

There are many people on the observation deck. There are three astronomical telescopes for a fee, and there are staff operating them.

 

As soon as Bai Li came out, she saw the huge moon hanging above her head. There were many people busy taking pictures. And because it was dark, almost no one noticed her or looked at her.

 

Shen An took off her hat. When he turned to face her, he took off her sunglasses and mask and put them into her pocket. He led her to the astronomical telescope with one hand and said to her, "Look at the moon."

 

Bai Li wanted to pay, but he beat her to it.

 

She lowered her head and bent over, looking through the astronomical telescope. The moon was infinitely magnified, and the bright light almost burned her eyes through the lenses.

 

"So beautiful." She couldn't help but murmur.

 

"Yes, very beautiful." Shen An said, staring at her face.

 

When Bai Li stood up, her eyes were still smiling. When she turned her head to look at Shen An, the shallow pear dimples were still on her rosy cheeks.

 

Shen An whispered something.

 

Someone around her spoke too loudly, and she couldn't hear clearly for a moment. Her clear eyes were briefly confused, "What?"

 

Shen An lowered his head slightly, clasped the back of her head with his left hand, pulled her closer, and pressed his lips against hers.

 

A very light kiss.
