Chapter 48 - Can’t sleep

She An only saw the rustling fluffy blanket and after it moved a few times, the video call was disconnected.

 

Shen An stared at the screen and chuckled.

 

He opened WeChat and glanced at other messages. At the last pet exchange meeting in Nanshi, someone recorded a video, which became popular in the clinic circle. One video was about his self-introduction on stage, and the other video was about him being invited to the stage to "to take off his clothes." 

 

There were people in several pet exchange groups who liked him. He replied to a few messages, closed his phone, and went to the rest area to do push-ups.

 

After doing more than a hundred reps in a row, he received a call. The friend he asked for help said that the matter of the house in Dongxin Community had been taken care of and the fat man would move out tomorrow.

 

Shen An thanked him and said, "I'll treat you to dinner later."

 

"You're welcome, Brother An." The person on the other end of the phone said with a smile, "It's just a small matter."

Shen An's tongue touched the gap between his teeth, his lips came closer to the direction of the mobile phone's receiver, and he said in a low voice: "I can't sleep alone."

 

Bai Li never responded.

 

Shen An smiled and said again: "Good night."

 

Bai Li listened to the good night phrase over and over before getting into bed. She unconsciously raised the corners of her lips, smiling even in her sleep.

 

Shen An was called over by the director of the zoo that night. There was a doctor in their zoo, but he didn't come due to temporary leave today.
